Councilmember Kris Beal Launches Re-Election Campaign with Community Kickoff Event
PASO ROBLES, Calif. — Paso Robles City Councilmember Kris Beal officially launched her re-election campaign Sunday with a family-friendly kickoff event at Downtown City Park, where residents, families, business owners and educators gathered to celebrate nearly two years of community engagement and look ahead to the work to come.
Guests enjoyed ice cream after hearing remarks from long-time civic leader Dee Lacey and Councilmember Beal, who shared her vision for a second term and the work still ahead. The event reflected Beal's approach to public service — one centered on listening to residents, helping them navigate local government and working collaboratively to solve community challenges."
As a councilmember, one of the most rewarding parts of this job has been helping residents understand how local government works and how they can most effectively engage on issues they care about," Beal said. "Some concerns can be addressed quickly, while others require long-term planning, prioritization, funding and consensus. My role is to help connect people with the process, elevate concerns and keep important community priorities moving forward."
During her first term, Beal has worked alongside residents on a variety of community priorities, including:
Advancing pedestrian safety improvements along the Uptown and Spring Street corridor.
Working with youth sports families to help secure a unanimous 5-0 City Council vote supporting investments in parks and playing fields.
Helping food truck owners participate in the public process, resulting in fairer, more consistent and streamlined regulations.
Assisting residents with neighborhood concerns, including permitting questions, trash cleanup, flood prevention, pedestrian safety and other constituent issues.
"I am grateful for the support of so many residents throughout our community and honored by the trust they have placed in me," Beal said. "We've made meaningful progress together, and I'm excited to continue building a Paso Robles where families, workers, seniors, businesses and the next generation can thrive."Residents interested in learning more about Beal's record, priorities or campaign may visit KrisBeal.com.
